The Howl Carving
Bleached Ash
This technique starts with bleaching a panel of ash then carving a relief of the subject - I saw am image of a wolf howling with its breath visible in the cold. I really liked the idea of carving the image and painting the wolf but leaving the breath showing the carved wood. Here is the result.
